A Giving Christmas: Erin from Tea & Olive

Today I have Erin from Tea & Olive to finish up 'A Giving Christmas' series. Erin is a fairly new blogger (her blog was started in May) but she has some really cute things going on over there! Thank you so much Erin for being over here!!

Hi everyone! I am so happy to be guest posting over here at the fabulous Paisley Roots today for our homemade Christmas gift for my mom. Since Leila's first Christmas last year I knew that I wanted to make sure that we taught her that Christmas is just as much about giving as it is receiving, but as a baby and young toddler giving can be not as easy to understand, so I decided to keep it simple.

I put together a card with card stock and scrap book paper and she helped me to glue them together. Then we drew some pictures together to go inside the card. We did a Christmas tree and I also did a little picture of her hand traced as a keepsake. Since she is only 19 months she is just learning how to use a crayon or pencil so I held her hand and helped her; she had a lot of fun with it!

It is really small, but something that Leila can do for her grandparents every year that I just know they will appreciate. After doing it this time, I think we will have to make it a tradition.

Maybe next year at 2.5 years old Leila will be able to do all of the glueing and drawing my herself. We are saving the card for Christmas and are going to have her hand the card to them all by herself. I'm sure she will love that!

Thanks so much for having me Karly, I really enjoyed figuring out something to give that Leila would be able to help with and she had a lot of fun making the card!
