Organic Cotton Plus

Project Run & Play just started up today and well, that's the whole reason this blog exists, so of course I want to sew along as much as possible!

This week's theme is "Knit" and man, I adore knit fabric.
I would have loved to have sewn up a whole outfit of knit, but I've been sewing like crazy on a lot of other knit projects, like this shirt made from this Thermal knit from Organic Cotton Plus.
I did receive this fabric for free to review, but all opinions are my own.

I have been dying to make my kids and myself a thermal shirt, but good thermal is soooo hard to find! This thermal is nice and thick and I knew as soon as I received it that it would be perfect for this very persistent snowy weather we have all around us. It comes in two colors, Beetberry and Blueberry. I went with Beetberry because the color makes me happy. It's bright and fun and I knew my girls would love it.

I used Oliver & S School bus shirt to make it. I added the triangle at the top cause it just looks cooler. She's in love and I really need to make her some Fancy Pants Legging's in this thermal too! That will keep her super warm and cozy!

I want to really thank Organic Cotton Plus. This fabric is awesome and you will for sure see another item made from it! Make sure to check out them out along with Project Run & Play. The knit outfits are AMAZING over there!

  2. Another one of your makes I'm totally in love with! I'll have to check out that thermal knit fabric too. I've avoided thermals because of bad experiences with poor quality ones up until now. Thanks for the suggestion.

  3. Your shirt looks so warm and comfortable...just the kind of shirt that my granddaughter like best. Thanks for letting us know where you bought the fabric because good thermal fabric is hard to find. Did you obtain the ribbing for the cuffs and neckline there too?
