It's day 5 of Make Laundry, Don't Do Laundry Pre-tour and I'm highlighting Made For Mermaids! This pattern is on the longer side of making, but still with-in the time frame of doing a load of laundry and soooo worth it!
Make Laundry, Don't Do Laundry is a blog tour where we urge you to make clothes instead of wash them. Making them is far more exciting and well, that pile isn't going anywhere. We'll have a link up, so you can sew along and there are some awesome prize packages. This week Cassy, Jeanine, and I have been highlighting each of the designers to show off some fun outfits you can make instead of braving that laundry room. The tour officially kicks off on the 6th with a pretty incredible line-up of bloggers, so come link up and enjoy a week of making laundry!
To be honest, I had a different pattern in mind to share from Made For Mermaids, but when the Quinn came out, I just couldn't help myself. I knew it would be a bit on the longer side, but it was still doable in the time it took for my laundry to wash and dry.
I did change the pattern up by adding adjustable straps. I'm just not really a tie girl and the adjustable straps are so easy to make. The fabric is from Joanns which has been sitting in my stash just waiting for the perfect inspiration to come. I thought about adding a pop of color with some ribbon or something, but I really love the black and white and being able to add the pops in the accessories!
