Christmas with Modes 4 U

I know we are in October and everyone's posting about Halloween costumes, but do you realize how many days that leaves us until Christmas???
76 days. That's it. 76.
So if you haven't started thinking about Christmas yet, now is the ideal time to do it!
*This post was sponsored by Modes 4 U but all opinions are my own.

When Modes 4 U contacted me about doing a sponsor post, I was thrilled. Their site is adorable and very very dangerous for my bank account. Not only does it have an amazing selection of fabric, they also carry tons of Kawaii items that me and my girls fall all over. My girls best friends are from Japan and when they returned home from their trip this summer, they brought us a bunch of goodies, and anything Kawaii is beloved here. I'll definitely be making an order from their stationary section for Christmas gifts, and since my girls are now going to a school where they have to take homemade lunches, bento boxes will be going on the Christmas list too.

I finally settled on Fawn Memories by Micheal Miller Fabrics to make Aevarie a Christmas dress. This print is just darling and makes such a lovely Christmas dress.
I chose to make the Little Lizard King Double Scoop Top & Dress with cap sleeves.

I did change up the sleeves a bit by pleating them and then finishing off the hem with a contrasting bias trim.

I had to get the back to line up. That little baby deer was too darling to chop in half! I chose to use wooden buttons too. I'm really in a wooden button kick. They matched the feel of the dress so perfectly though!

Aevarie has stated that this is her "stage" dress and if she ever performs on stage, if this one no longer fits, I need to make another one just like it for her.
I absolutely love how much my kids love me sewing for them!

You can grab this fabric here.
A huge thank you to Modes 4 U for sponsoring this post!
Remember, only 76 days until Christmas! ;)

  1. I love the dress! That style is so classic and sweet! Random question could you tell me a little about her shoes? I struggle to find cute shoes for my girl without them being *ahem* tacky (aka too many jewels and glitter). Thanks!
