Plaids & Boots Tour

One of my favorite things to do as a family is have a bonfire and roast marshmallows. It was just fate that Laela Jeyne was hosting a Plaid & Boots Tour with one of the themes being "Game Night/Bonfire".  She also has some amazing patterns and I couldn't wait to make them!

I want to give a huge shout out to Art Gallery Fabrics and Micheal Miller Fabrics for sponsoring the fabric for this tour!

During the tour Laela Jeyne is also having a discount for her patterns.
Use the code: P&BTOUR20 for 20% in Laela Jeyne shop!

The first pattern I made for this look, is the Childrens Billie Outdoor Vest. This pattern fit so well together and looks absolutely adorable on! The outer fabric is Clouded Horizon Denim from Art Gallery Denim Studio. I love Art Gallery Denim and is always a dream to work with!

I chose to do the Princess seams with the removable hood option. The only thing I changed was sewing the seams so they were enclosed rather than using a bias to finish them off.
I'm a pattern rebel. It's in my blood. ;)

The lining is Micheal Miller Magic, Lucky Stars, by Sarah Jane. I couldn't resist making the lining in such yummy knit!
It also has a layer of thin batting to keep my little guy warm and snuggly.

The second pattern I used  was Emmy Children's T-shirt sewn up in Micheal Miller Magic Baby Dragons.

I was seriously so excited when I heard Sarah Jane was coming out with a knit line!

Judes jeans are also made from Art Gallery Denim. Did I mention how much I love Art Gallery Denim??
I also made a shirt for myself, but due to horrible, awful daylight savings times and the fact that I haven't invested in a tripod, I wasn't able to get pics in it. But, that just means that I will be dedicating a post to it soon!
And now onto the best part of the blog post...

What is a tour without some prize packages?? Make sure to enter the Rafflecopter below for your chance to win one of these awesome prizes!

  1. I need to invest in a tripod as well! I think my husband would love that idea. Haha! I have to say I'm so impressed by Jude's outfits lately. He is quite the styling little man! I love all the Art Gallery Denim that you used. Such a great look.

  7. Oh, I love your little guy in these pictures! We're finally getting to the point where we need more than a long sleeve shirt to keep warm, and I really want to try a Billie with a knit lining for my littles! Your vest is really convincing me that I need to get off my duff and get sewing! Love it!

  9. Oh my goodness! I'm just rereading everyone posts and making sure I've left a comment everywhere and somehow I missed leaving you something... Or my wordpress hated your blogger and didn't post it. That sometimes happens.

Anyway... I just love your vest! I really, really like that you were a rebel and nix the bias tape for enclosed seams. It looks great! Thanks so much for joining it! I know you have been very busy and we really appreciate your time.
