We have been full on summer since the end of March and I have been LOVING it! Moving to a place where it's warm almost all year long has been amazing, but our wardrobes were not adequately prepared for the weather change. So of course that has meant lots of sewing up new swimsuits and boardshorts!
Not only has the Cricut Maker* been saving me a lot of time (and crying) by cutting out my quilt squares, they also partnered with Simplicity and have a ton of great sewing patterns that also works for the Cricut Maker.
It's seriously a life saver!!

For this project you will need:
Cricut Maker*
Rotary Cutter Blade (Comes with Cricut Maker)
Simplicity Boys Boxer Shorts
1 yard Solid Navy Blue Sueded Microfiber Woven Board Short Fabric
1 package of 3/4" elastic
Matching Thread
Eyelet Kit (you will just need 2 eyelets)
Twill Tape
Interfacing

The Cricut Maker will cut out 6 pieces:
2 Backs
2 Waistbands
2 Fronts

Since I didn't add this in the video, make sure to add the interfacing into the middle of the front waistband and add your eyelets before sewing the waistband together.

I loved how quickly I was able to make these little boardshorts up.
It's off to the lake for us now!
