A Giving Christmas: Jeanine from Crafting Fiend

Hello, my name is Jeanine! When Karly first told me her idea for getting kids involved in crafting to give to others I couldn't help but want on board with that! I mean who wouldn't, am I right? I get to teach my kid that giving is fun, keep her occupied for an afternoon, and have something cheap memorable to mail to grandparents and aunts and uncles.

We have relatives that live all over and across an ocean too so I wanted a nice flat and non fragile craft. So  popsicle stick Christmas trees seemed like the way to go! It really is as simple as sticking 3 popsicle sticks together and putting a string in between 2 of them.

Then I gave her 3 paint options, too many colours and she decides to paint herself and not the craft...

and lastly is the risky step... glitter! I know a bunch of you just shuddered at the thought of it. Glitter is pretty but let's be honest it is nasty stuff and no fun to clean up! I gave her a small dish of glitter and taught her to pinch and sprinkle. It went better than I expected!

and now I have a whole stack of popsicle stick trees that should not break in the mail so I am set for what to mail the far away relatives! and we will use them as gift tags for the relatives we see!

Thanks for having me on the blog Karly! and Merry Christmas everyone!
