I have been so excited about this pattern by Sew Straight & Gather! First off, it's knit. I was pretty much sold at that. Everything else is a bonus.
I've already made a few things from this pattern. I made this summer tank top for Aevarie:
And here's a sneak peek for another item I've made that I'll share another day.
I have had this knit fabric for quite a while now. It was one of "those" occasions that I wasn't paying attention while in the store and didn't realize what the fabric cost.....
$18 for a yard.
That's how much I love this pattern. I used my coveted $18 a yard knit on it.
If that's not love, I don't know what is.
I wanted it to be a little different, so I dip dyed it in purple to give it an ombre effect. I chose option C, the cap sleeves, and I opted out of the facing and just turned the hems over and sewed in place. This will be a great transitional dress to last the rest of the summer, but something she can still wear to school when it starts in a couple of weeks.
Zoe was loving playing "nananananana" during our shoot and kept running away.
That stinker.
