Riley Blake Designs - Joey

Joey by Deena Rutter is seriously the sweetest and most adorable line! If I was ever to have another baby, this line would dictate that babies entire room. Since there will be no more babies for me, I chose to make a twin size quilt. I just love the colors and we're talking about Koalas and Sloths here. It just doesn't get cuter than that!

I absolutely love the colors of this line. With navy, mint, teal, and grey, I think all my favorite colors are in it. It has that little pop of rust color in there too. They're just such calming colors.

I used a fat quarter bundle and I chose the Violet Quilt Pattern by Kitchen Table Quilting. Don't tell anyone, but I did slightly change it up. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe it was creative license, we just will never know.....

For the small squares (that may have not supposed to have been in the inside corners of each navy plus sign.....) I used Riley Blake Designs Large Hashtag in Teal. It's such a great basic and is the perfect match to this line!
I did play with the prints a bit, so all the inner plus signs are that light aqua/teal prints. The outer prints are alternating off-white and the grey prints, then the main plus signs are in the navy prints. And then of course I have all the little squares in that bold teal.

This makes quilt #5 for the year. I'm just a tad bit behind on my yearly goal, but I'm pretty confident that I'll hit it by the end of the year. That goal is making quilts for everyone in the family.

What would you make out of this line?
