Riley Blake Designs - Destinations

Growing up, my family moved a lot. My mother has the soul of a traveler and I love going on adventures. We had plans to go on quite the grand roadtrip this last summer, but that has been postponed and we stayed very close to home (okay we just really literally stayed home).

Riley Blake Designs line, Destinations, was so much fun to work with and daydream on all the adventures we still have left to go on!

I chose to make Sassafras Lane Designs One Way Quilt Pattern with this line. Gotta keep looking forward!

The background is Destinations United States Destination in Gray and the arrows are all in the Map colors.

I was originally planning to homeschooling my kids completely and we'd have some adventures during the school day, but the schools announced that they were going to offer virtual and my kids all wanted to do that. I have to tell you though, it's been a complete nightmare so far. I don't think there's been a single day in the last 2.5 weeks that I haven't had to be on the phone with at least one school, usually at least two. We are at least giving it another week, possibly another, and then we're going to re-evaluate things. Homeschooling would definitely be far more easier to do and we'd be able to go on far more trips and adventures, but it's important to my kids, so I'm trying. LOL

There was a lot of stuff I missed this summer. Swimming, going to parks, hiking, and we had already saved up to be able to go on that road trip and we were going to get a season pass to a theme park. All postponed. I know it's only a temporary setback. I've already been planning this trip for years, so one more wont hurt things.

I know I'll be looking at this quilt quite a lot and daydreaming though!

  1. Cerro Pacific had orders for hundreds of risers that they had not been in a position to} provide. Four bits and three hours later, the machining was full. Bobby intends to make use of coloured epoxy to fill the pocketed areas, then paint Women’s House Shoes the top layers and letters.

Shout outs are ALWAYS welcome! I LOVE comments!!
