Inseam Skirt Pocket Pattern & Tutorial

Today I'm participating in Skirting the Issue. There have been tons of adorable skirt patterns shared this month and me and my son, Gavin, got to go up and be a part of the sewing get-together. He had a blast and is so proud about the skirt he made. It was a great experience with him.
I thought I could share an easy inseam pocket that you can add to any skirt.
You can grab the measurements for a simple skirt here.
Then save this picture and print it off (make sure you don't have it "fit to size") and follow the instructions below!

Heart Cut out Tutorial

Today I'm over at Skirt Fixation for the Knit Off.
I thought I would share my Heart Cut Out Tutorial with you. It's really easy and just adds that little something. Just to state it, this will only work for knits.
So, here's what you do!

All Spice and Lemonade!

In May I got to be an extra in two of Alex Boye's videos.
The first one was a remake of Katy Perry's Roar, which was amazing and awesome.
Then a couple weeks later I got to go and be a part of Lemonade.
I LOVE this song. It's amazing.
You can catch me in a couple places, but you have to really keep a look out!

Cosi Swimsuit Tour

Last year I was able to test a swimsuit, and that experience has made swimsuits a staple to our summer time sewing list.
A while ago I had the honor to test the Cosi Swimsuit and I absolutely love it! You have so many different options and with 3 girls, that is exactly what I need!

Star Wars - Jedi Inspired

I'm so excited to be a part of Crafting Con's Star Wars competition! The point of the competition is to make an outfit that fits the theme, but can be worn as an everyday outfit. I really think I accomplished that with this outfit! I wont really talk much about it over here, but you can get all the juicy details over at Crafting Con.
I will tell you that I used the Bettyann Shift Dress and Top by Sisboom/Scientific Seamstress for the top and the Small Fry Skinny Jeans by Titchy Threads for the shorts. It's not like I'm addicted to those or anything.....

Freezer Stencil - KID STYLE

Today I'm part of Sowdering About's Summer Craft Camp!
The theme was paint and we do a lot of sewing around here. We love embellishing our clothes to make it unique and special, so we went with fabric paint as our craft.
