Royal Design Studio: Herringbone Shuffle Curtains

Royal Design Studio provided me with a free stencil to write this review.  I was not compensated for this review in any way and the opinions expressed are 100% my own!

My Zoe is a budding artist and every surface in our house is her canvas. Since we moved into our house 3 years ago, we have repainted their bedroom at least 4 times on account of her little drawings all over the walls. It was time for a new update to their room.

When I saw the Herringbone Shuffle Stencil I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Since I still don't feel our walls are safe of their doodles quite yet, I chose to make stenciled curtains.

Since their room is very purple, we went with white with pops of yellow, teal and pink. Since this stencil uses more than one color it did take quite a bit of time. Royal Designs has some great tutorials on painting on fabric, which really helped.

There are so many things you can do with these stencils that makes them very versatile. I adored this post on how they used the stencils to paint the floor of their kitchen. I have my eye on this Polka Heart one for some fun projects for the girls and I love how fun the Fly Away With Me stencil is. I also see a herringbone backdrop in our future.
I have a couple other stencils from Royal Designs and can't wait to update our bathroom as well.
With so many fun ideas, which stencil would you choose and what project would you do?

  2. I LOVE these curtains! they are so light and pretty. I have a couple of artists. One is 10 and has picked tattoo artist as a future, and a 3 year old who think the walls, furniture, and floors are her canvas!
