Tinley Tee & Love me Knot Tour

When Chelsea from GYCT Designs had the sign ups for this tour, I jumped at it! I'm a very practical sewer and I love how basic and versatile these patterns are!

I had a clear idea what I wanted to do for this set and I was a rebel and changed things up a bit!
Lets start off with the Tinley Tee Pattern

This shirt has tons of options (4 sleeve options and 2 hem options). I cut all the pattern pieces out according to the pattern, but I love that beachy neck look and chose to opt out of a neckband. I just serged around the top and folded it over. Easy, peasy and I love the look it gives!
The pattern comes from 12m-12 years and although the gathered and flutter sleeves are definitely for the girls, I love the fit and Jude will be getting a few short and long sleeved ones too!

For the Love me Knot shorts, I drew a straight line down the sides of the pattern, omitting the knot ties. I know, I'm horrible. The pattern is absolutely perfect for making basic shorts though!
I also added a ribbed-knit waistband instead of doing an elastic one. It worked out so perfectly and the waistband made them uber comfy for Aevs.

We also placed the pockets on the bum instead of the front. You would really think I couldn't follow directions......
I just adore how these turned out and next summer the girls will be getting a lot of these!

These patterns really are perfect staples and the fit is spot on.
During the tour Chelsea is offering them for 15% off with the code: SAVE15
You can also buy them together in a bundle for a discounted price!

And last, but not least, enter the giveaway for your chance to win!

Thank you so much Chelsea for having us along!!

  1. Karly, both turned out so great. I love when people can take the pattern and make it their own. Glad you didn't "follow directions". That is what makes each outfit unique and special. Thanks for being on the tour!

Shout outs are ALWAYS welcome! I LOVE comments!!
