GYCT Spring Dress Tour

I don't know about you, but I am dying for spring and the warm weather! We're actually moving next week to a not-so-cold-and-snowy place and I cannot wait! But while I'm still in the snow and cold, my mind is completely on warm sunny days!

I'm ready to dub this year the year of the Raglans, cause that seems to be all that my kids are asking for, so when I saw that the Rival Raglan tee & dress was on the list for this tour, I knew that was the pattern to make!

The fabric is Pegacorn Galaxy star and stripe coordinates from Sash Fabrics. I chose long sleeve, cause although I am still dying for Spring, I know that it's still really chilly all over Utah. Paisley is also right behind Zoe in size, so I know it will be passed on to Paisley in the Fall when the weather cools off again.

Zoe loves how comfy and fun this dress is too. I made size 12 without changing anything. I really can't believe how tall my girls are getting!

The dress came together really quickly.
Although I do own a coverstitch, it's packed up, so I just used a twin needle on my machine to do all the hems. One tip I've learned with knit is to always press everything. Press your hems before you sew, right after you sew every seam, and again as soon as you are done. Using lots of steam also helps sewing knits. It may seem like a pain to do, but it makes such a huge difference in how your hems and garment look.

Chelsea's patterns are really great! I was on her Tinley Tee & Love me Knot shorts tour almost 4 years ago (HOW CAN IT BE THAT LONG????) and this outfit was one of Aevs absolute favorites and it finally fits Paisley!

You can use the code "SPRINGTOUR" to get 15% off all of Chelsea's patterns.

There's also a giveaway to win $20 in fabric from Sunshine Ray Fabrics.
