Suit Up For Summer Raspberry Creek Fabrics Day 4

It's day 4 of the Suit Up For Summer swim tour
Yesterday was filled with a little bit for everyone. We had some kid suits along with womens and some mens swim trunks too! If you missed it, don't worry! All the links are at the bottom of this post!

As for my looks, today is all about the Rash Guards!
My mum was born in Scotland and we've all inherited the fair skin and temperament of that area. So what does this mean for us living in the desert in the US? It means we have two skin tones. Paley white or red-lobster. There's really not much in between. So my kids ALWAYS have a couple of swimsuits with long sleeves and rash guards. I have 5 kids who are giants, so buying enough sunscreen to work with your regular run-of-the-mill swimsuits gets rather astronomical in cost...so this is by far the best solution.

So onto Aevs swimsuit! She just turned 12 and is 5' 5.5". She's rather annoyed she didn't make the last half an inch to be as tall as I was on my 12th birthday, but I think it's pretty clear her end game will be the same height I am. She really wanted me to make her the Azur by Petit a Petit, but I didn't quite have enough time to make the adjustments for her. She's still in the size chart for chest/waist/hips, but length is a completely other matter. So she got the Boo Swimmers Rash guard in a size 10. I didn't make any adjustments to it, although I should have probably mashed the armscye with the Tweenie Bikini. Since she's just starting to develop I skipped out on the cup pads, but I know next year it's going to be a must!
The main print is Raspberry Creek Fabrics Watercolor Mermaid Scales, and I used the Navy Fish as accents. I've been sworn to ordering more of the scales and that Mermaid Azur will be happening!

For Jude, I made him the Cloud 9 Tank by Titchy Threads in the same Mermaid Scales and passed down the pair of boardshorts I made Paisley last year in Raspberry Creek Fabrics Navy Boardshort.
He makes quite the adorable merman(boy). Although I'm sure he'd rather be Aquaman!
This swim is always amazing to work with and Boo and Titchy Threads have been our go-to patterns for swim for the last few years!

As you can tell, Jude had a blast digging dirt out of everywhere when we were taking pics!

Make sure to check out the other bloggers on the tour today!
