Tobago Twist: Tutorial

I know this has been a while in coming! Life is crazy (if the pictures are any indication) but I finally got the tutorial finished!
I used a chambray denim for this and can you see the ombre dye effect I did? I promise it's there!

You can get the tutorial here for that! And yes, this girl loves purple.

To make this dress, you will need to buy the Tobago Tank and Sophie Tunic from Scientific Seamstress and have some 3/8" elastic on hand.
Then, follow the tutorial!

You can find the length of your skirt in this chart:

For the width, take the hip measurement and times it by 2. If you don't have your child, you can use this chart. It's in the number 4 column.

Cut 2 rectangles of that size for your dress.

Remove basting stitches.
Measure your daughters hips, or use the chart above to cut a piece of elastic.

We'll be making many many more of these. Here's some more pictures of our chambray tobago's!

This purple dress was made the exact same size as the other one and this is the fit of both on this girl now. It's only been a month!
