Around the World Blog Hop

I was asked to participate on the Around the World Tour by Fenna from Fabulous Home Sewn
I answer questions so you get to know more about me and then you can follow the links to read more about other bloggers out there. Sounds fun right?? :D

1. What am I working on?
I am finishing up 5 little flower girl dresses for a friends wedding and I have a holiday All Spice cut out for Zoe that I'm hoping to finish this week. I'm also still working on patterns, but with the holidays and the kids school and homework, it's taken a back seat for now.
There's also this. I love to have fun with dye!

2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I know most of what I do is very similar to what others in my genre do. I sew both boy and girl clothes which is slightly different then most, but not too much. I mainly sew practical, which most of us do too.
I do know I'm one of the few crazy enough to sew as much as I do with 5 kids around. But they adore it, so it makes it much easier to do so.

3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I create because I am. LOL I've always been very artistic and if I wasn't drawing I was singing or painting or building. I loved trying to write songs when I was younger and I have kept a journal since I was 12, so this was just a different platform to keep that going.

4. How does my writing/creating process work?
Writing takes more time for me than actually making something. I'm clumsy with words so it takes a few edits to make sure I sound clear and I'm not repeating myself. It always starts with me making something and then I tell the story about that item and the photoshoot.
That's basically it. LOL

I asked Laura from Craftstorming and Ajaire from Call Ajaire to continue on the tour next week! I adore both of them and know you will too!

  1. Beautiful dress and so many kids! Visiting from Fenna, I have the same problem with writing, I rewrite and reread a post, takes me forever.

  2. I agree that you are crazy :) I don't know how you do it all but I'm so glad you do. I'm with you on the writing taking a long time too.

Shout outs are ALWAYS welcome! I LOVE comments!!
