World Book Day Tour

I adore books and 'slightly' hoard them. As a kid I always wanted a house with a mini library in it and I certainly have the books to make one! I love the adventures and stories and I struggle not getting sucked into every book I read.
Except Twilight.....that just....no.
Being how much I love books, I was really excited when Dobbin's Bobbins invited me to participate in World Book Day blog tour!

Now, choosing a book was not easy. One of my absolute favorites is Little Daylight by George MacDonald. The illustrations are out of this world and it's an adorable princess story.
Zoe's favorite is the Reptiles Pocket Book by Usborne Books. She seriously adores those books and takes them everywhere.
Gavin's favorite series is Michael Vey by Richard Paul Evans. We've been reading that one together and are DYING for the next book to come out.
Paisley's favorite is Are You My Mother by P.D. Eastman.
Aevs favorites are Junie B. Jones.
Jude's favorite books are search books, like Where's Will. He will read those all day long.
And that's just choosing one from each person.
I may have provided links to possibly enable help....book lovers such as myself.....

While debating which story to choose, I looked at my fabric stash and was immediately drawn to this Peter Pan custom knit that I've also been hoarding, from Backstitch Fabrics. I adore Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie. How can you not? A willful, cheeky boy that never grows up? Pirates, indians, mermaids and fairies? The story is so whimsical and always fills me with happiness. I spent many days of my childhood wishing I could fly off to Neverland as well.

I chose to make Titchy Threads Twisted Tank, and yes I love this pattern. I'm making Jude seven of them for the summer so he will have one for each day of the week. You can see tank 1 and tank 2 there.

I'm kind of wishing my kids wouldn't grow up and stay little forever. Their childhoods are going by too fast. And yes, I write this as I have an almost 13 year old who just grew another 3/4" in the last month. It's becoming dreadfully obvious that that child doesn't have much time as a child left.

Dobbins Bobbins has 4 amazing giveaways going on for this tour and there are so many good books being showcased, so make sure to stop by all the other posts!

Happy World Book Day to the world!
