One of my most favorite things to make is swimsuits. They're just so fun! So of course I said yes to joining a tour all about swimwear!
During the tour Designs by Call Ajaire is offering 20% off all patterns in the Etsy shop using the code SWIMTOUR
Gracious Threads is offering 15% off the purchase of 3 or more patterns in her shop (no coupon needed)
The Wolf and the Tree is offering 15% off patterns in her shop using the code SWIMTOUR as well.

Today I'm showcasing The Wolf & The Tree's "Just Keep Swimming Rashguard". I did end up hacking it just a little. When Zoe tried it on before I put on the waistband to the bottoms, I realized they came all the way up (my kids and their short torso's!) so instead of cutting off some from the top of the briefs, I just sewed the bottoms to the top of the suit. The neck is very accommodating for easy on/off and I couldn't help it!
I think it has a very '80's esque style in the fabrics I chose. I think it would be fun to make one long-sleeved and do a tie around to make it look like a ballet dancer leotard & sweater.
Make sure to take a few minutes to visit Call Ajaire, Gracious Threads, and The Wolf and the Tree and of course the rest of the lovely blogs we have on the tour:

ReplyDeleteI love this swimsuit! She's such a cutie posing with the umbrella, too. Yay for the 80s! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love that it looks like a one-piece! I had a very similar conversation with Ari about how high up high-waisted goes! But with your suit I can see how you made it WORK! Also I love the polka dot background on your blog!
