KCW Day 5

Day 5 of Kids Clothing Week.
Sewing is going much slower then I like and I have been stopped a bit since my interfacing seems to have run off, but I'm still getting things done!

KCW Day 3

When I asked Zoe what kind of shirt she wanted she said, "Totoro!". So we looked online for different pictures. This is the one she chose! I asked her what color she wanted her Totoro and she replied, "RAINBOW!" So, there you have it! Her Rainbow Totoro shirt!

KCW Day 2

Today hasn't been quite as productive as yesterday, but I did finish these little Brindille & Twig Retro Shorts for Zoe.
I deviated from the pattern by using 3/8" seam allowance instead of 1/4", making the waistband smaller and adding eyelets to it. Can't wait to finish the shirt to go with!

KCW Day 1 Outifts

Today was a GORGEOUS day outside, so after doing chores (although the house is still a mess so it's crazy) we went outside to play. I sewed on the porch in the shade while the kids ran around like little crazed animals.
This is what I got finished:
Brindille & Twig Hoodie tank (I omitted the sleeves and just used ribknit to finish the armholes.)
True Bias Mini Hudson Shorts

KCW Day 1

Today is the start of Kid's Clothes Week! In case you haven't heard of it, it's a challenge to sew 1 hour a day for a week making something for your kids. Each season has a theme and this ones is "Wild Things".

Since I really stocked up on fabric when we got our taxe return, I am now "sewing my stash", so here's all the fun "wild things" fabrics I have.

KCW Wild Things

I know I have been crazy quiet lately. Between finishing our basement, homeschooling and STYLO, I have been sooooo busy!
Kids Clothes Week is just around the corner though and I love sewing along with it. Most times I am doing pattern tests and not able to sew along with the theme or really show what I've made, but this season is different! I'm not sure if I will be able to sew the hour every day of it, but I still plan to make a few things. I've been looking on pinterest at different things for the theme and I'm so excited about it! My kids love this theme and all have different ideas on what they want made.
